Another group of Seychelles tourism commission agents enhance customer service skills

The Tourism Department in collaboration with the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA) organized a customer service training for another group of tourism commission agents last week.

The one-day training, facilitated by STA’s Murla Gabriel, was held on Thursday March 15, 2018 at the premises of the Seychelles Ports Authority.

Ten individuals from Mahe and the inner islands were given the opportunity to enhance their communication and customer service skills.

The training also saw the participation of other government authorities, such as the Seychelles Licensing Authority (SLA) and the Seychelles Ports Authority (SPA). The tourism commission agents were able to raise concerns and challenges faced during their day-to-day activities, including the growing existence of illegal operators offering tourism services, among others.

The training ended with the presentation of certificates to the participants, which was attended by the Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine, Maurice Loustau-Lalanne, who stressed on the need for tourism service providers from all sectors to enhance their standard of service.

When addressing the tourism commission agents, he congratulated them for their commitment to engage in reflective practices to help improve the local tourism industry, while encouraging them to value and treat all visitors with utmost respect.
