Condé Nast Traveler announced the results of its 29th annual Readers’ Choice Awards with Corinthia Hotel Budapest recognized as the #2 hotel in Central Europe.

Corinthia Hotel Budapest, originally built as the Grand Hotel Royal in 1896, remains renowned as one of Budapest’s most spectacular five-star luxury hotels, standing proudly in the heart of the city. The building which recently celebrated its 120th anniversary is an impressive historical landmark, with its imposing neo-classical façade and soaring six-story glass atrium, and is located just around the corner from the famous Andrássy Avenue, now a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Over 300,000 dedicated readers – nearly twice as many as last year — cast votes for 7,394 hotels, 606 cities, 500 cruise ships, and 236 islands, in an average survey time of 8.4 minutes. The result? The 1,402 best travel experiences in the world.

First opened in 1896 as the Grand Hotel Royal, Corinthia Hotel Budapest remains one of the grandest hotels in the city. It houses 439 luxurious rooms, including 31 suites and 26 apartments.
