Delta Air Lines reveals new uniforms for its 60,000 uniformed employees

Delta Air Lines is rolling out new uniforms to its 60,000 uniformed employees on May 29, but a new Delta look doesn’t happen overnight. The comfortable, high-quality, fashion-forward uniforms were three years in the making, and Delta is launching the ‘Designing Delta’ miniseries to show just what it took to create a style that stands out amongst the rest.

Renowned fashion designer Zac Posen and his team partnered directly with Delta employees across the organization to ensure a comfortable and functional uniform that was both modern and timeless. Lands’ End was selected to bring the designs to life, meeting employee standards of first-rate condition and comfort. Through countless rounds of design, testing and innovation, the Posen and Lands’ End design teams created pieces that reflected the Delta spirit and embodied the style of its employees.

Bringing its customers and partners a look at the process behind creating a brand new line of uniforms, Delta is launching the six-part ‘Designing Delta’ miniseries. New weekly episodes on YouTube and Delta News Hub will take viewers through important steps from design concept to uniform launch.

“Summing up a three-year journey isn’t easy, but this miniseries captures the direct role of Delta people throughout the process,” said Ekrem Dimbiloglu, Director – Uniforms. “In always looking for opportunities to bring customers closer to our business, this is a great opportunity to show them a new perspective while encountering our brand and our employees like never before. This process is a testament to the thought and care that goes into each and every decision that will affect both our employees and our customers.”

Viewers will hear from Posen, Lands’ End, Delta leaders, customers and, most importantly, employees throughout the process for a first-hand look at the challenges and thoughtfulness that went into developing a uniform line that caters to the needs of such a diverse group of employees.
