Himalayas to welcome inaugural Travel Mart 2017

Nepal, gateway to the Himalayas, is hosting the Himalayan Travel Mart 2017 from June 1 to 4 in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu.

The event will be B2B, with buyers from Europe, North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and CIS, Asia, and the Gulf.

Sellers will be from Nepal, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Pakistan.

In line with the present trends, the Himalayan nation is also organizing just prior to this inaugural Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) event, an International Bloggers and Media Conference from May 22 to June 1, when participants will visit different parts of Nepal, including Chitwan and Pokhra.

PATA Nepal chapter leaders, including Suman Pandey and Manohar sjb Rana, were recently in India to promote the events.  The program was jointly inaugurated by The Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mr. Shankar Prasad Adhikari and Mr. Andrew Jones, Chairman of PATA International.

They attended the PATA-Ministry of Tourism event where Indian officials and Air India revealed their plans for 2017.
