A 6.0 earthquake hit Hokkaido, Japan, today less than an hour ago at 23:46:39 UTC.

Said one person on volcanodiscovery.com, the shaking felt “like dizziness and soup inside the bowl is shaking.”

The last time a strong earthquake at a 6.7 magnitude struck Hokkaido was on September 6, 2018 (see video).

The Japan quake occurred at a depth of 17 kilometers.

No tsunami or reports of damage or injuries have been reported.
