Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) announces 14th convention

The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India was conceptualized by seven dynamic founder members from the adventure travel trade, who envisioned ATOAI to be a strong support group that led to both group and individual profits by establishing adventure as one of the main tourist attractions to India.

Continuing its tradition of holding its annual convention at a new adventure tourism destination, the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) will have its 14th annual convention in the beautiful and scenic Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh, 115 kms from Vizagapatnam. The dates for the convention are October 25 to 28, 2018.

Swadesh Kumar, ATOAI’s current and founding President, said the event will enable seller operators in the State to meet big players and exchange notes. An expo will also be held alongside the convention.

Guidelines and a code for adventure players has also been recently developed following India’s tourism theme this year of adventure tourism.

The association was founded with an aim to create awareness about the immense potential for adventure tourism in India and to harness this potential in a safe, sensitive and environment-friendly manner. The association has all along been working for the promotion of adventure tourism in India and to create awareness overseas about the potential of adventure tourism in India.

ATOAI today is a strong body of over 500 adventure travel professionals who are not only passionate adventurers themselves but also promote adventure tourism with the same passion.
