Airways Aviation announces details of UK & Ireland pilot training scholarship

International airline pilot training organization Airways Aviation is inviting aspiring airline pilots from the UK and Ireland to enter into its scholarship program.

Airways Aviation announced the entry criteria to an eager audience at the company’s latest Airline Pilot Careers Day on Saturday 18th March. Following a three-stage application process, one lucky student will be awarded a bursary of £35,000 towards training on Airways Aviation’s EASA Integrated course in the UK and Spain, with the winner being named by the end of June.

Before the end of April 2017, applicants will need to register their interest and complete a short online application form. Airways Aviation will then invite those candidates whose application meets our initial selection criteria to its Oxford headquarters to take the industry-standard COMPASS test, for which they will need to pay a £50 administration fee. Once the test results are produced, only the top-scoring candidates will be invited to continue the process, with a presentation and panel interview at Oxford as the final stage.

Ian Cooper, Airways Aviation CEO, says: “The world is in need of airline pilots and we are dedicated to providing outstanding training that ensures our graduates leave fully equipped to manage the demands of operating an airliner.

“We understand that for many potential aviators financial constraints can make it difficult to follow a career as a pilot. This scholarship forms part of Airways Aviation’s commitment to creating equal opportunities and reducing barriers to entering the pilot profession and I wish all applicants the best of luck.”
