Alain St.Ange addresses NRI conference in Delhi



Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine in on a working visit to Delhi India and on Wednesday the 25 he was invited to address the 36 Congress of the hugely appreciated NRI body of India. Mr St.Ange started off his address by speaking about the friendly ties between Seychelles and India before embarking on his bid to become the next Secretary General of the UNWTO (the United Nations World Tourism Organization). “I come from the world of tourism and with me you will have not just a leader in this high office, but you will also have a friend” he said before promising that under his leadership a UNWTO office in India woukd be opened along side a number of new offices he was planning. “This is to ensure the UN Agency is as close to its Member States as possible. “This concept is stated firmly in my Statement of Intent lodged now in Madrid” said Mr St.Ange to loud applause.
Mr Alain St.Ange also brought out some of the other points appearing on his priority list of matters needing immediate attention.

Alain St.Ange who was Guest of Honour at the 36th International Congress of the NRI body of India appealed to the packed conference room to wotk with him to get Governments from the four corners of the world to support his bid to become the next Secretary General of the UNWTO at the May elections in Madrid.
