Antigua and Barbuda partners with Archer Street on beach bar pop-up

This summer the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority is joining forces with exclusive London bar, Archer Street, to bring a slice of Caribbean beach life to the heart of London’s West End.

The Antigua and Barbuda Beach Shack at Archer Street will launch on Wednesday 31st May, transporting guests over to the laid-back glamour of the Caribbean islands, with their picture-perfect beaches, sublime sunsets and warm welcome.

The initiative is a continuation of Antigua’s Beach Bar Trail campaign which launched at the end of 2016. The trail has been designed to show visitors some of the best spots across its 365 sun-soaked beaches – from foodie gems to romantic hotspots, lively bars to hidden hangouts that only the locals know about.

Archer Street is a vibrant cocktail lounge located in the heart of London’s Soho, famous for its inventive cocktails and talented team who entertain guests sporadically throughout the evening with live singing performances.

Cherrie Osborne Director of Tourism UK & Europe for the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority said:
“We are delighted to be working with one of London’s top venues, Archer Street, on this exciting collaboration. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the music, food & drink and spirit of our beautiful twin islands to consumers in the very heart of London. We are looking forward to a fantastic summer and to inspiring visitors to the beach shack to come and experience Antigua for real later in the year.”

The exclusive Antiguan bar will be reminiscent of a typical Antigua beach bar with stunning Antiguan visuals, delicious Antiguan snacks being served and real pure white sand for guests to sink their feet into. Colourful cocktails named after Antigua’s beaches will be mixed with English Harbour rum and Antigua fruits. Antigua’s authentic roots will shine through in the Rum and Calypso themed live entertainment and music acts during the evenings.

The themed bar will be open through until Autumn 2017 with a series of special events to be announced.
