Bahamas Government issues Hurricane Warning

The government of the Bahamas has issued a Hurricane Warning for the northwestern Bahamas.

The warning included the Abadcoa, Berry Islands, Bimini, Eleuthera, Grand Bahama Island and New Providence.

Hurricane Dorian is now a dangerous major category 3 hurricane with winds of 115 mph. It could become a category 4 storm with winds up to 140 mph.

Residents and tourists should take immediate shelter.

The Bahamas Tourism hospitality industry is well prepared, but the situation is very dangerous and visitors remaining should follow the instruction of hotel security officials and authorities.
