Caravelle Saigon announces new Director of Rooms

With a major 2017 renovation inching closer, Caravelle Saigon left no stone unturned in selecting a leader to steer the course of the Room’s Division of one of Vietnam’s most iconic hotels.

“We are thrilled to announce Morgan Ulaganathan is joining us as our new Director of Rooms. His experience will be crucial to Caravelle’s success as the hotel undergoes a substantial renovation to one of the most prominent property’s in Saigon for nearly 60 years” – said Michael Robinson, Caravelle’s General Manager.

Morgan was selected after having worked at some of the most respected hotels in the world, commencing his career at the Hilton Singapore and subsequently serving at several top establishments in Sydney before taking on management duties at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth; Four Seasons Hotel Sydney; and most recently as Front Office Manager at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. Some of his notable guests over the years have included Vladimir Putin, Hillary Clinton, Tony Blair, Prince Al-Waleed, Prince Phillip, Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino and the families of Rothschild, Hermes, Picasso and Gates. Morgan’s studies have also taken him around the globe, notably to Cornell and Nanyang University for his Executive MBA, as well as UC Berkeley, INSEAD and The Hotel School Sydney.



Taking an establishment held so dear to so many and reshaping it for the future is never a small feat, however, Morgan is prepared for the opportunity to take Caravelle into the future.
