Corinthia Hotel London announces year-long partnership with The Future Laboratory

Building on the success of the hugely popular ‘In Residence’ program at Corinthia Hotel London, the Hotel is delighted to announce their new partners, and founders of The Future Laboratory, Chris Sanderson and Martin Raymond.

In collaboration with The Future Laboratory, Corinthia Hotel London will launch a year-long ‘Futurists In Residence’ program available to hotel guests and non-residents alike. Their trend forecasting will see a series of talks, installations, briefings, future rooms, dinners and activities. A breakfast briefing entitled ‘The Futures Store: retail revolutions in our homes and minds,’ will launch the partnership on Wednesday, May 30.

“Corinthia London is referred to as London’s Grand Hotel, intelligently designed for modern life,” said Corinthia Hotel London’s Managing Director, Thomas Kochs. “To partner with Chris, Martin, and their firm is immensely exciting as it strengthens our position as a forward-thinking company that creates modern Hotellerie of the future and provides service experiences that are uplifting and relevant to today. I am convinced that our guests will be thrilled with the exchanges and will appreciate this offering beyond traditional hotel services.”

The conversations and exchanges will be a platform for inspirational experiences, give great insight into future trends in luxury, and underpin the forward-thinking way in which Corinthia Hotel London operates. Guests can expect events and discussions on a variety of scales and topics, from smaller campfire chats to larger Future Forums.

“We will be defining luxury- how it’s changed and how it will change,” explained Martin Raymond, Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of LS:N. “Hospitality is changing. It is no longer about the transactional, but about the immersive, experiential, and bespoke. It is also about classifications based on customer behaviors rather than industry definitions.”

The Futurists In Residence will explore these cutting-edge hospitality offerings and re-define our sense of luxury through an alternative calendar for the year until June, 2019. Focusing on areas including health, wellness, technological innovation and AI, the residency will raise questions such as how guests will step into the hotel of the future, what dinner ingredients will be available in ten years’ time, and how the location will change, spearheaded by the Northbank project.

The inaugural Breakfast Briefing event will be followed up on July 12, 2018, with an intimate Health & Wellness Breakfast Briefing at the hotel.
