Da Nang was honored as “Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination” at the World Travel Awards Asia (WTA) & Australasia Gala Ceremony 2016.
As the fastest growing city of Vietnam, Danang has been the venue of choice to host a number of international events, including the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC 2017).
In preparation for this significant event, Sovico Holdings, the owner of Furama Resort and Furama Villas Danang, was selected to build the Ariyana Exhibition & Convention Centre (ADECC) to host APEC meetings attended by 21 leaders of member countries as well as 15,000 representatives of major enterprises and 6,000 members of international media.
At the same time, the Ariyana Beach Resort and Suites Danang, located next to Furama Villas and the ADECC, is also under construction and is scheduled to open at the end of 2018.
Initiated in 1993, the WTA was annually held to honour the best service suppliers in travel and tourism. This award is considered as Oscar awards of the tourism industry.
