We had an epic Nepal Tourism Summit in Europe

You love Nepalese food and did not attend the Nepal Europe Summit?  You missed out!
The long anticipated Nepal Europe Summit after ITB Berlin finished last week after traveling to Duesseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Prague and Warsaw.

The Nepal Summit was organized and attended by the Nepal Tourism Board under the leadership of CEO Deepak R Joshi and senior officer for brand promotion and corporate marketing Shradha Shrestha in cooperation with the global team of eTurboNews in Hawaii, Duesseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Prague, and Warsaw.

Essential for the success from the  eTN side was publisher Juergen Steinmetz, the eTN German team under the leadership of Michael Seipelt (Duesseldorf) and Elisabeth Lang (Munich), Martina Zuengler-Hein (Frankfurt), Lenka Prosecká (Prague) and Magda Zbrzeska in Warsaw, Dmytro Makarov eTN Hawaii.

After a successful ITB trade show in Berlin, 12 leading tour operators, airlines and hotel operators went on the road.

More than 411 travel industry professionals and journalists reading eTurboNews were interested in hearing from the Nepal Tourism Board and Nepal tour operators. About half attended an event in person. A delicious Nepal meal was always a special treat along with the chance to win a dream come true trip to Nepal.
A special certificate of appreciation was given to agents attending the Nepal workshop.

Attending travel agents and media learned about new opportunities to sell the Destination Nepal. They learned about Nepal is not only the destination for those wanting to climb the Himalayas, but also for families, culture, food. Nepal puts a focus on tourism for all. Summit participants learned Nepal is the safest destination in Asia. They learned the land-locked country is accessible by Turkish Airlines, Air India, Emirates, Qatar Airway, Thai and others.

Accessible tourism, LGBT, budget, luxury – the country has something for everyone. In the pipeline are e-visas, but Visa on Arrival is already a reality for many nationalities.

A delicious Nepal meal was always a special treat along with the chance to win a dream come true trip to Nepal.

Everyone was a winner at the Summit. Participants walked home with a souvenir bag full of brochures, posters, and some hard to come by Nepalese tea.

Nepal tour operators will be busy to establish new relationships with tour operators and travel companies from Europe.
Nepal tourism board officials made many new friends with European media, the Nepalese community in Europe, and key trade.

Santosh Bhattari posted more than 40 pictures on his facebook and said: “A successful travel summit in Prague. I would like to appreciate Shradda for her hard work and like to thank Nepalese Business Personality for their effort to promote Nepal and it’s tourism. I also feel proud to be on this event and felt honored to distribute  Certificates to the participants. One of the participants had visited  Nepal more than 20 times. I hope such a summit really will help us to bring more visitors to Nepal.
