Eric Hallin elected President of SKÅL International Bangkok

Mr Eric Hallin General Manager of the Rembrandt was recently elected President of SKÅL International Bangkok.

The travel and tourism association’s Bangkok Club recently held an election in light of key changes to the managing executive committee.


This year marks the 60th Anniversary of Skal International Bangkok, which was inaugurated on the 28th September 1956.

Commenting on his election President Eric Hallin said, “I am delighted and honoured to have been elected President of SKÅL INTERNATIONAL BANGKOK.

“The election took place on the 29th NOVEMBER at the Movenpick hotel.

“This is my fifth  Presidency within Skal International, having previously been President of Bangkok in 1989 and later the Chiangmai club President and the Phuket club. I am also a Past President of the National Committee and currently Vice President of the same.

“The club is aiming to grow significantly its Bangkok membership and we have some very exciting venues lined up for our monthly meetings. The annual SKÅL/PATA Christmas lunch will take place on Tuesday 13th December at the Siam Kempinski hotel; January our meeting will take place at the Landmark; February at the Siam Anantara and May at the soon to be opened Lancaster Hotel.

“Thailand having previously hosted 2 World Congresses in 1996 and 2006 as well as 3 Asian Area congresses, I believe the time is right to showcase Thailand once again,” adding, “We aim to bid for the World Congress 2020.”
