Parts of United engine lost in flight over Pacific

On a United Airlines flight from California to Hawaii today, the aircraft lost parts of an engine while flying over the Pacific Ocean. Flight #1175 landed safely in Honolulu from San Francisco, and all passengers were able to deplane in a normal fashion.
