Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island, due to open to holidaymakers in the first quarter of 2018, is already generating media attention.
The new luxury resort, which will feature some 71 lodgings including beach bungalows, villas, suites and private residence villas, has made it to CNN Travel’s ‘Hot new hotels to check into in 2018.’
The CNN listing describes the new Four Seasons Resort at Desroches Island as one which will offer secluded luxury for wannabe Robinson Crusoes.
“The vibe will be castaway-chic, with indoor-outdoor floor plans and private plunge pools just steps from the Indian Ocean,” CNN Travel adds.
Desroches Island, which is administered by the Island Development Company (IDC) is part of the Amirantes group, and can be reached in 35 minutes by plane from the Seychelles’ main island, Mahé.
The Four Seasons Resort project on the island, which started in 2016, is still underway but well on track to welcome its first guests on March 1, 2018.
Aside of CNN Travel, other media outlets, especially in the UK, in the likes of The Times & The Telegraph are also spreading the word about the opening of the new resort.
The Times for example, has named Four Seasons Resort at Desroches Island, Six Senses Zil Pasyon on island of Félicité, and La Digue Island Lodge as some of the tourism accommodations to consider while also promoting upcoming direct flights to Seychelles by British Airways as of March 2018.
The General Manager of the Four Seasons Resort at Desroches, Edward Linsley, said: “I’m immensely proud to be leading the team who will open and manage this exceptional resort and I can’t wait to welcome our first guests on March 1, to experience our island and all we have to offer!”
“The opening of Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island is a hugely exciting project for the destination as a whole, already attracting lots of media attention from around the world and showcasing our beautiful Indian Ocean islands.” Mr Linsley added.
With its Beach Bungalows starting from 980 Euros per night, Desroches Island is aiming to provide guests with a luxurious resort holiday combined with the space and freedom to discover and learn about the islands’ natural surroundings — both on land and at sea.
Bicycle rides around the island, experiencing new dining concepts, learning about the island’s variety of vegetation and marine life at the resort’s interactive discovery centre, getting up close with the giant tortoises at the tortoise sanctuary, outdoor movie nights, fishing, snorkeling and diving, are but a few of the adventures awaiting guests opting for a tropical secluded holiday at the resort.
This will be the second Four Seasons Resort in Seychelles, after the one at Baie Lazare on the main island, Mahé, which opened in 2009.
