It’s Green Globe Gold for Mövenpick Hotel West Bay Doha

Mövenpick Hotel West Bay Doha is proud to announce that it has received Gold certification from Green Globe, the world’s premier stamp of approval related to green practices in the tourism industry. This prestigious status is awarded to members that have been certified for five consecutive years, by meeting all requisite criteria, standards and audits with success. Mövenpick Hotel West Bay Doha is the only five-star property in Qatar with Gold status.

In order to be certified, properties must comply with over 300 indicators that cover sustainable management through social elements, economic factors, cultural heritage and environmental practices.

The recertification is part of the hotel and the company’s global commitment to uphold the pillars of its Shine program: social, environment and employer. In its efforts to develop responsible operations and spreading awareness about green living, Mövenpick Hotel West Bay Doha has adopted the best environmental practices as recognized worldwide in the tourism industry.
