Greyhound expects over 540,000 customers to travel this Thanksgiving

Greyhound, the largest provider of intercity bus transportation, is gearing up for one of the busiest Thanksgiving holiday seasons in recent history, with more than 540,000 customers expected to travel to more than 2,300 destinations across the United States, the equivalent of 58,557 fully loaded 737 aircraft.

The company expects record numbers compared to prior Thanksgiving holidays, as customer demand has continued to increase.

“We expect the highest demand to be Nov. 23 – 27, and we’ve been getting ready across our network to support the increased customer volume,” said Bill Blankenship, chief operating officer, Greyhound Lines, Inc.

With the high volume of customers expected to travel, Greyhound encourages customers to book their travel early and arrive at least one hour before their scheduled departure time.
