Human Resources Forum Madrid: The Move Hotel

The former director and founder of the company holding Resort and City, Marco Mendoza, will participate as a speaker at the II edition of the forum dedicated to the talent in tourism, Tourist Talent Networking.

Specifically, Mendoza will star in the exclusive interview ‘The Move Hotel: Innovation for the future luxury tourism’, to be held on stage at the Auditorio Rafael del Pino between 11:30 and 12:00 hours.

During that period, Mendoza will advance The Move Hotel fundamentals, an innovative self-created concept -currently in phase of development- that will revolutionize the existing hotel and entertainment offer: the first Hotel-Theatre in the World.

The start is scheduled by the end of this year and with an initial investment of over 200 million euros, The Move Hotel is a brand new hotel in which performing arts and luxury accommodation bind through innovation, both business model and technology as well as design and architecture.

In addition to the interview, Mendoza will participate in the table-talk (at 01 PM): ‘Profile of the Director at a Luxury Tourism Company’, which will discuss and share his experience in this segment with Juan Torregrosa, Director of Exploitation Only You Hotels and Ayre Hotels. During the conversation very interesting aspects such as current market developments luxury hotel and the most demanded profiles will be addressed to meet the new needs of the sector.

Marco Mendoza (Madrid, 1975) has a long career as a manager in the field of tourism and hospitality. His career began in the area of education, developing several training programs for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, becoming part of the Directorate-General for Cooperation of the same Ministry as Senior Market Analyst, developing feasibility plans national capital abroad and working as a delegate of the Spanish Embassy in plans for international cooperation.




After a brief experience in Palladium Hotel Group (Grupo Matutes) passes to lead the implementation of hotel projects in America and later will serve as Senior Strategy Analyst for international consultants, being in charge of projects Implementation systems business efficiency in collaboration with organizations as Unicef, Chambers of Commerce, Starwood, Jumeirah, Hilton or the IMF. After this stage stops in Gowaii Tourist Group, where he has held until a few months ago Corporate Director of Expansion, participating in the creation of the hotel division of the company.


Mendoza has recently left his directive role for Gowaii to start his own business project, creating Resorts and City Essentials holding, being the Hotel The Move its star project. It is a very idea of Marco Mendoza in which combines his long professional experience in the international hotel industry and his entrepreneurial spirit with his great passion: the performing arts.


Second Edition of Tourist Talent Networking Event

Tourist Talent Networking Event is the main forum of human resources in the tourism sector whose aim is to value the work done by managers and professionals of human resources in the tourism sector, favoring the recruitment of talent by developing a series of colloquia and a space of job interviews with tourism professionals.
