Hungarian low-cost airline adds Sofia-Bratislava flights

WizzAir is introducing a new route from Sofia to Bratislava. Beginning June 30, this route will be served 4 times a week.

Sofia is the capital of the Balkan nation of Bulgaria. The city’s landmarks reflect more than 2,000 years of history, including Greek, Roman, Ottoman, and Soviet occupation, making for a grand cultural and historical trip.

Of equal cultural delight is Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, set along the Danube River by the border with Austria and Hungary. It’s surrounded by vineyards and the Little Carpathian mountains, crisscrossed with forested hiking and cycling trails. The pedestrian-only, 18th-century old town is known for its lively bars and cafes. Perched atop a hill, the reconstructed Bratislava Castle overlooks old town and the Danube.

Wizz Air Hungary Ltd. is a Hungarian low-cost airline with its head office in Budapest. The airline typically uses secondary airports serving many cities across Europe, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates
