India students graduate in hotel management and catering technology

At the Auditorium of Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in India, the students of batch 2015-19 were honored for their academic achievements. The event commenced with welcoming the procession comprising the Dean Administration, Mr. Alok Aswal; Principal BCIHMCT, Dr. Sarah Hussain; Guest of Honour, Ms. Sharmila Dutta, Learning Manager, Hyatt Andaz, Aerocity; Chief Guest, Ms. Nivedita Avasthi, General Manager, Crowne Plaza Mayur Vihar; and Head of the Department-Bakery and Patisserie, Mr. Ranojit Kundu.

Ganesh Vandana followed by the traditional Lamp Lighting ceremony marked the start of the event. Mr. Aswal enlightened the gathering about the Banarsidas Chandiwala Sewa Smarak Trust Society, its vision, and mission. Dr. Hussain in her opening remarks mentioned, “The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion with his or her commitment to excellence, regardless of the chosen field of endeavor, today signifies the recognition of hard work in the pursuit of knowledge.”

The students who performed extraordinarily throughout the year were felicitated during the ceremony:

Academic Excellence Award for the year 2017-18 was given to Smilee Jaral Batch (2017-21)

Academic Excellence Award for the year 2017-18 was given to Tanveer Singh Batch (2016-20)

Academic Excellence Award for the year 2017-18 was given to Shreya Thakral Batch (2015-19)

Academic Excellence Award for the year 2017-18 was given to Smriti Saneja Batch (2014-18)

Student of the Year – Batch (2018-22) went to Mr. Vishal Gurung

Student of the Year – Batch (2017-21) went to Mr. Aditya Narula

Student of the Year – Batch (2015-19) went to Mr. Satvik Kapoor

Outstanding Student of the Year was bagged by Ms. Shreya Thakral Batch (2015-19)

Ms. Dutta congratulated the students, welcoming them as professionals in the industry and stated, “The important thing is to have fun and do what you like.” She emphasized absorbing all things positive from their academic phase and moving to another quest for a better future.

Ms. Avasthi shared the feelings of nostalgia and was amazed at the energy among the crowd. She affirmed, “The individual’s energy needs to be channelized in a constructive direction to succeed in this competitive era.”

All the students of the passing out batch were felicitated by the members on the Dias and were awarded with a souvenir as a symbol of accomplishment towards their efforts in upgrading and maintaining the stature of the institute. The formal Passing Out Ceremony was followed by the Farewell function as a token of gratitude from Juniors to make this day memorable for their Seniors.
