It was the vision of the late Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari that the ministry move ahead with an aim of bringing in 2 million tourists in to the country by the year 2020.

Nepal Tourism Board CEO Deepak Joshi said: “It was a very difficult decision for us to go ahead with the launch. ITB was supposed to be a special day of celebration, but as you know, we have unfortunately lost the Architect of the Visit Nepal 2020 campaign, our beloved Honorable Minister and other members in a tragic air accident a few days back. It was his dream to launch the Visit Nepal campaign  here at the ITB. In his memory we are doing our best to make this launch a great success, so it can add to the Minster’s legacy and add to a bright future of Nepal Tourism.”

“Naturally Nepal, Once is not Enough” is the tourism brand of Nepal and is a simple expression that repackages the Nepal brand in a positive light. “Once is not Enough” not only accurately captures the tourists’ emotions at the airport’s departure gate but also serves as a decision tool that enables the Nepali tourism industry individually and collectively to focus both on consumer retention and acquisition.
