Jamaica Minister of Tourism send sympathy to family of Noel Hylton

Jamaica Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Edmund Bartlett, has offered condolences to the family and friends of Noel Hylton, who died on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

Mr. Hylton, whose dedication to both the public and private sectors spanned over 40 years, worked at the Port Authority as chairman and chief executive officer from 1975 to 2013. He also served as the chairman of the Police Service Commission and Air Jamaica.

Minister Bartlett stated, “We regret the passing of this hard-working visionary who made it his life’s mission to improve the efficiency and effectiveness wherever he went.” He added that “At this very difficult time we pray for his family and friends as they grieve this loss.”

In acknowledging the stellar legacy of Mr. Hylton, at an awards ceremony yesterday, Minister Bartlett requested a moment of silence from the audience to “Honour the legacy of man who was instrumental in revolutionizing the shipping industry which facilitated the expansion of the country’s trans-shipment infrastructure.”
