Kenya Tourism gets massive boost as Emirates ups daily flights

Come June, Emirates, Dubai’s award-winning airline, will increase its daily flights from presently 2 a day to 3 a day. The third flight will be operated with a Boeing B777-300ER in a 3-class configuration, offering 8 first-class suites, 42 flat-bed business-class seats, and 304 seats in economy class.

The airline’s first flight out of Dubai will leave at 0140 hours, followed by a 1025 departure, before the third daily flight will take off from DXB at 1600 hours. This will offer, more or less, instant connectivity to Nairobi from all Emirates services landing on a given day. Return flights out of Nairobi into Dubai are also timed that passengers can reach any point in the Emirates network with a relatively short stopover at DXB, made even more comfortable as the airline has now made it possible for qualifying economy-class passengers to access their lounges against payment of a nominal fee.

Besides Nairobi, Emirates also serves Entebbe and Dar es Salaam with daily flights, giving East Africa’s main aviation hubs a total of 5 daily flights out of Dubai.
