Kompas Holidays International: Exclusive cruise aboard M/S Adriatic Queen to Croatia

Kompas Holidays International 2017 cruises will take travelers on a memorable journey aboard the five-star, 15-cabin M/S Adriatic Queen, along the beautiful Adriatic Coast highlighting the best Croatia has to offer. From UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Dubrovnik’s Old Town, Diocletian’s Palace in Split, Sibenik’s Saint James Cathedral and the Euphrasian Basilica of Porec; stopping on the island of Mali Losinj, known as the Island of Miracles and Wellness; to the National Parks of Mljet, Brijuni, and Kornati. Fully-escorted sightseeing programs will also take you to the captivating island of Korcula, Marco Polo’s birthplace or “Little Dubrovnik,” and the island of Hvar, famous for its lavender fields.

The exclusive eight-day programs (K230 and K231) aboard the 30-bed five-star vessel M/S Adriatic Queen for 2017 provide 6 scheduled departures that will take place on September 9, 16, 23, 30 and October 7 and 14, 2017.

This selection of cruises is aboard the newly refurbished M/S Adriatic Queen with brand new and modern amenities, fully air conditioned cabins furnished with either queen-sized or twin beds with windows or portholes and en-suite bathrooms.

The 115-foot long ship features a fully air-conditioned salon-restaurant with a bar, complimentary Wi-Fi, a large sundeck with a Jacuzzi, and a rear access platform to the sea. The size of the ship allows the M/S Adriatic Queen to move freely and easily into the intimate ports of Croatian Islands.

Each scheduled departure is timed perfectly to coincide with four well-priced options for four-night pre- and post-cruise land programs. Pre-cruise tours include one focused on Rome, Florence and Venice, Italy (K235 and K236), and the other on Vienna, Austria with a foray into Slovenia’s (K237 and K238) town of Bled, the UNESCO listed Postojna Caves and the delightful capital city of Ljubljana (pronounced Loob-lee-yanna).

All of the options include stays in first-class properties, complimentary transfers to and from gateway airports (Rome and Vienna), breakfast daily, and more importantly, the services of a dedicated professional English-speaking Tour Manager throughout. A catamaran transfer is also included to take passengers from Porec to Venice or Venice to Porec depending on the cruise booked.

Because the company’s roots are in this region, Kompas knows the Adriatic as no other and sells small ship cruises and land-only vacations from 7 to 20 days in duration as escorted tours, city stays, and cruises throughout Europe – from Russia to Italy, through the Eastern Mediterranean, the Golden Triangle of Vienna, Budapest and Prague, as far west as Germany and as north as the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Kompas grew out of the former Kompas Coach and Tourist Company, which was founded in Yugoslavia in 1951 and has become one of the most prominent travel companies in the world. In 1991, the company was transformed into a shareholding company with Adriatica.net Group as the majority owner since 2006.
