Las Vegas hosts 5th Annual Marijuana Business Conference and Expo

Marijuana Business Conference & Expo is both the oldest and largest national business event for the cannabis industry

Just days after an unprecedented 8 states passed medical or recreational marijuana initiatives, all of the nascent industry’s key players will gather at Marijuana Business Daily’s 5th Annual Marijuana Business Conference & Expo at The Rio in Las Vegas, November 15-18, 2016.

The publishers of Marijuana Business Daily project that after Tuesday’s election, the industry could see up to an additional $8 billion in annual retail cannabis sales in the coming years.

The cannabis industry already has a $14 billion impact on the economy, and this confirms that this industry is here to stay. State-by-state retail sales estimates for states that legalized on Election Day will be released at Marijuana Business Conference & Expo on Wednesday, November 16.

Named the Fastest Growing Trade Show of 2015 in the U.S. by Trade Show Executive Magazine, the Marijuana Business Conference & Expo shows no signs of slowing down. This is reflected by the 7500+ attendees expected next week, representing all 50 states and 18 countries.

Begun in 2012, Marijuana Business Daily’s annual conference is the oldest and largest show in the cannabis space, playing host to entrepreneurs and major private investors, along with more than 320 exhibitors on a 45,000 net square foot expo floor. All seven key industry sectors will be fully represented: dispensaries and rec retailers, wholesale growers, professional and financial services, infused product makers, private equity investors, ancillary products and tech, and testing labs.

New to the show this year: MJBizCon Science Symposium, a full-day workshop for businesspeople to meet top scientists; learn basics about the plant and therapies; hear advanced case studies; and, discover new research; The Dispensary Experience, an interactive walk through a cannabis shop in the Expo Hall explores innovative design, technology and equipment; and The Seed Lab, meet 30 of the newest companies in the cannabis industry.

Libertarian, author, and entertainer Penn Jillette and WhiteSpace at Work CEO, Juliet Funt will deliver keynote addresses. More than 80 professionals will take part in all-new presentations and Q & A sessions focused on the business side of the marijuana industry.

The Annual MJBizCon Mixer will take place poolside on Wednesday, Nov 16. 100% of ticket proceeds for the Mixer will be donated to six non-profit organizations working at the national and federal level to reform marijuana laws, advance patient access, and reduce harms created by the nation’s current drug enforcement approach. Last year, the MJBizCon Mixer raised $100,000.00.
