Lights go out on Sichuan LA flights

Sichuan Airlines is changing its Los Angeles route from daylight to night-time hours.

Beginning March 26, the airline’s twice weekly Chengdu-Hangzhou-Los Angeles and its Chengdu-Jinan-Los Angeles routes will start operating in the light of day. Service will be provided onboard an A330-200.

Chinese visitors to LA have increased by at least 20% over the past 7 years, and these tourists have become a driving force of visitor spending in the city. Chinese visitors are bringing over US$1 billion into LA’s local economy every year.
