Nepal PM names new Tourism Minister

Nepal’s Prime Minister, K. P. Sharma Oli, today expanded his Cabinet and inducted 15 new ministers in his Council of Ministers, including the new Hon. Rabindra Adhikari as Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, who just returned from Europe to attend ITB and a Nepal road show in Warsaw.

It was a proud CEO of the Nepal Tourism Board, Deepak R. Joshi, along with Shradha Shrestha, Manager of Brand Development and Corporate Partnership for the Nepal Tourism Board, who congratulated the new minister and together with him greeted guests at the Nepal stand at ITB and at the Warsaw road show.

Not to be missed at ITB was the fabulous Nepalese cuisine that was specially catered for the event by Bhudda restaurant in Berlin. This was a celebration of the 60-year relationship between Germany and Nepal.

The Nepal Tourism Board successfully organized and participated in three back-to-back Nepal promotion events in Warsaw as part of its European sales mission which kicked off its Nepal Europe Travel Summit 2018 today in Warsaw with an overwhelming response of registration by over 60 agents.

Said Shrestha: “Warsaw is bestowing us with more love and attention every year. It was truly rewarding to see so much interest and love for our country from the Polish people. We hope to see a rise in their arrivals this year and so on.”

The event included CEO Joshi addressing the audience at a press conference about the Polish Himalaya Event at PAP Polish Media Headquarters and a special screening of the movie “Chasing the Breath” about the Everest Marathon.
