Seychelles President Danny Faure has announced the appointment of Garry Albert as the new chief executive designate of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) and Alan Renaud as the new principal secretary for Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine.
Both appointments take effect on November 1, 2018.
Mr Albert’s appointment follows the recommendations made to the President by the board of the SCAA. He will work closely with the current chief executive, Gilbert Faure, who is due to retire on December 31, 2018, after over 45 years of service to the SCAA. Mr Albert will take full responsibility as chief executive of the SCAA from January 1, 2019. Presently principal secretary for Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine, Mr Albert holds a Masters Degree in Leadership & Strategy. He has previously acted as chief executive of Air Seychelles in 2011, and was deputy chief executive of the Seychelles Ports Authority from 2012 until his appointment as principal secretary in 2016.
Mr Renaud, who holds a BSc in Applied & Engineering Physics, has held various senior management positions in Air Seychelles, including responsibility for its Training Academy, and later for the airline’s Corporate Affairs and Strategic Planning.
