Newly-established Quintana Roo Tourism Board

One of Mexico’s top tourism producers encompassing the world-renowned destinations of Cancun, Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, and Tulum, among others, has established the Quintana Roo Tourism Board.

Carolyn Izzo Integrated Communications (CIIC) has been selected as the U.S. PR Agency of Record for the newly-established board.

The hospitality and lifestyle agency will provide strategic counsel, media-driven campaigns, and crisis communication for the 11 destinations that make up the State as well as execute high-profile activations. CIIC will also be responsible for positioning the unique attributes of each of the destinations that fall under the Quintana Roo brand, generating media coverage and increasing consumer awareness.

“We are honored to have been selected as Quintana Roo’s U.S. agency of record,” said Carolyn Izzo-Feldman, president and founder of CIIC. “With our vast experience working in tourism in Mexico, including the Mexican Caribbean, we are confident that our campaign will continue to shine the spotlight on Cancun, Riviera Maya and Tulum, as well as uncover some of the hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path destinations that Quintana Roo has to offer, including Holbox, Mahahual, and Chetumal.”

“CIIC’s demonstrated experience, strong track record, and expertise in destination tourism in Mexico and the Caribbean made them the ideal PR partner,” said Darío Flota Ocampo, director of the Quintana Roo Tourism Board. “We are confident that their creative campaign, which will be launched as early as this summer, will afford us the opportunity to broaden our reach and introduce a new level of travel experiences that the US consumer is looking for.”
