Plane crash turns Elko, Nevada into a disaster zone

A plane crash is turning a  usually quiet Nevada town into a disaster zone tonight.

Residents are being evacuated, fires everywhere. Visitors of a nearby casino are being evacuated according to tweets posted.

Elko is the largest city and county seat of Elko County, Nevada, United States. The population was 18,297 at the 2010 census. The city straddles the Humboldt River.

A small airplane has apparently crashed into the parking lot of a business in Elko, Nevada Friday night, and a photo from the scene shows flames and smoke.



Fox 13 News viewer Tyler Belderrain snapped a photo and shot some video of the aftermath of the apparent crash around 7:35 p.m. Nevada time Friday. 4 passengers and crew were on board.
