Riu Palace Jamaica awarded Best All-Inclusive under 300 rooms

The Gleaner has awarded hotel Riu Palace Jamaica in Montego Bay with the Best All-Inclusive under 300 rooms accolade.

The award has gone to the RIU Hotels & Resort’s first Adults Only property on the Caribbean island right when the chain is celebrating its 15th anniversary in the country. It debuted in 2001 with the opening of the Riu Tropical Bay in Negril.

Attaining the Hospitality Jamaica Awards, it represents one of the biggest achievements in the local tourism industry. The winners are chosen by the votes provided by the readers online.

The award, presented by Paul Pennicook, Director of the Jamaican Tourist Board, was collected by Niurka GarcĂa (in the photo), Director of Sales in Jamaica for RIU Hotels & Resorts, accompanied by Manuel Mano, Riu Palace Jamaica Food & Beverage Assistant Manager. “It’s amazing, a massive endorsement. Everything we do is about our customers. We’re absolutely thrilled that the readers have voted us as winner of this award”, she stated.

Riu Palace Jamaica is RIU’s most luxurious hotel on the island and the first reserved exclusively for over 18s.

RIU first arrived in Jamaica in 2001, attracted by its exuberant beauty, its reggae culture and the charisma of its people. That year it became the first Spanish hotel chain to invest in this country by opening the Riu Tropical Bay, hotel that was renovated in 2008 and upgraded to the Riu Palace category. Fifteen years later it now offers six hotels at three different destinations giving a total of 3,116 rooms: ClubHotel Riu Negril and Riu Palace Tropical Bay, in Negril; ClubHotel Riu Ocho Rios, in Ocho Rios; and Riu Montego Bay, Riu Palace Jamaica and the recently opened Riu Reggae, in Montego Bay.
