Sprout to be Brussels: Brussels Tourism launches campaign on social networks

Sprout to be Brussels: Brussels Tourism launches campaign on social networks and Sprout to be Brussels are organizing, in collaboration with the Brussels Hotels Association and Brussels Airlines, a huge campaign on social networks with 21 trips for two to Brussels as a prize. The aim of the game? Take a selfie with a touch of Brussels while hitch-hiking to the European capital. Launched today, the competition closes on 31 January 2017.

«Sprout to be Brussels», a play on words with «proud» and «sprout», the famous Brussels sprout vegetable, is a major social movement that arose early in the summer of 2016. This slogan that recalls both typical Belgian whimsy and surrealism grew through a series of activities led by citizens, traders, entrepreneurs and Brussels actors designed to highlight their pride in Brussels and to showcase the thriving cultural scene and the exciting range of events currently being staged in the city. The symbol of the little green mini cabbage has rapidly begun to appear in the city’s streets.

It is in support of the Sprout to be Brussels movement and as a prelude to the international campaign to promote the city of Brussels that, the Brussels Hotels Association and Brussels Airlines have joined forces to offer a trip for 2 to 21 prize winners from 21 targeted countries. A jury will award prizes to the most original photographs which will be shared on the website and on social networks. In addition to return flights to Brussels Airport, which is a just a few minutes by train from Brussels city centre, the lucky winners will enjoy two nights in a 3, 4 or 5 star hotel and will be given a 72 hours Brussels Card each to help them discover some of the  cultural events on offer in the capital. Fans of comic strip, art nouveau, art déco, contemporary art, gastronomy and history or simply those who love city breaks, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
