A taste of Seychelles at La Belle Etoile shopping center Luxembourg

The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) joined the Seychelles Consulate in Luxembourg Butz Welter for a week of promotion in the shopping center “La Belle Etoile” in the town and commune of Bertrange.

A Seychelles’ exhibition was set up from March 14-18, 2017, whereby the shoppers and subscribers of the center could discover the different aspects of the destinations through arts and cuisine.

Four artists from Seychelles brought with them various products to display and sell comprising mainly of paintings, handy crafts and local music. Seychelles’ music was performed live by a solo guitarist every day on the stand.

The tour operator, Voyages Flammang, was also present with a beautifully decorated stand which was shared with STB, represented by senior marketing executive based in Paris Christine Vel.

The event was a good chance to interact to clients, provide them with information about the destination, where to go, what to do, places to visit, etc.

The main question which they were interested in was the ways to get to Seychelles from Luxembourg, they were very happy to hear about the Air Seychelles direct flights from Paris and Düsseldorf and also the two nonstop flights from Frankfurt by Condor.

Luxembourg being a country that borders with France, Belgium and Germany these are the easiest and fastest routes for them explained Miss Vel though not forgetting the possibility of hubs via the Middle East and Eastern Africa.

A prize-winning competition was organized whereby a lucky winner could win a price for two people to travel to Seychelles onboard the national airline Air Seychelles and stay in the partner hotel which generously offered overnight stays same being the Constance Ephelia Seychelles and Le Relax Hotels.

To give clients a taste of Seychelles’ gastronomy a special dinner was hosted on the Friday evening whereby they could pay and book in advance for a scrumptious Creole dinner comprising of staple foods with rice and fish on the menu topping it up with tropical fruits.

The organizers were pleasantly surprised as they still had many people on the waiting list who wanted to attend the dinner but there was simply not enough space.

They confirmed that they have never had such a good response before and they were very happy with the great turnout.
