Visit Japan Travel Seminar a success in India

Continuing its aggressive promotion drive to boost arrivals from India, Japan organized a Visit Japan Travel Seminar 2017 in Delhi, India, today, February 14, 2017, which was attended by tourism attractions, suppliers, and regions of Japan representatives. Those in attendance told the Indian agents they should promote the “Land of the Rising Sun” among India travelers, whose numbers have been going up every year.

Yoshiaki Kinugasa, Manager of International Sales for the Hotel Universal Port in Osaka, said that they were adding 400 more rooms to the existing 600 rooms. Ten rooms were devoted to Minions cartoon characters – a major draw for guests.

Port-view rooms and park-view rooms, plus varying bed capacity, give guests ample opportunity to choose their accommodation. The hotel is ideally located near the aquarium and has boat access as well.

Hanatour Japan is equipped to handle Free Independent Travelers (FITs) and groups from India.

Yasuo Taki, General Manager of India for ANA airline, said that their India flights were doing well, linking Delhi and Mumbai.

JTB Corporation, one of the largest travel agencies in Japan, along with  UTS, JAL, and Kailash were some of the other participants.
