Zambia’s premier tourism trade show set for April

ZATEX, short for the Zambia Travel Expo, will this year take place between April 25-27. The venue will again be the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in the capital, Lusaka.

The Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA) expects a larger turnout compared to last year, when the trade show had to be postponed due to the unfolding election process, keeping the conference center busy over the dates the tourism trade show was due to be held initially.

Yet, many hosted buyers and travel media representatives from Southern and Eastern Africa, as well as from further abroad, such as India and Japan, made it to Zambia, and before and after the trade show they had the opportunity to sample some of the country’s amazing national parks and attractions like Victoria Falls.

This year, ZTA will again invite hosted buyers and travel media to give the marketing and promotion of the country a further boost with all key private sector stakeholders exhibiting at ZATEX, including Africa’s leading airlines.
