Netherlands sees upsurge in tourists from India

The Netherlands recorded a 27 percent growth in arrivals from India in 2017 and through May 2018. The Dutch-land saw 67,000 Indians visiting to see the many attractions of the country.

A three-city sales mission next week to Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru is likely to further boost these tourism numbers, when suppliers will interact with some 100 agents in each city.

Sanjeet, an India representative for Netherland Tourism, said that major metro cities and feeder markets are contributing to the interest and growth, as well as the MICE industry and other travel segments. The country has a lot to offer for all age groups, he said. pointing out that families and small groups are also showing interest in the Netherlands.

The sales mission is comprised of varied attractions and destinations, as well as KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, which is a major player and a household name in India.
