Francesco de Marchis joins JacTravel as CTO

JacTravel, the UK-based B2B travel wholesaler, has appointed Francesco de Marchis to its board of directors, as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) reporting to Terry Williamson, CEO.

Francesco is a highly-qualified IT professional. He has worked for many years in the travel industry heading up the technology departments for some of the leading names including Orbitz and Low Cost Travel. He also led critical Digital Transformation Projects, in particular, at Play.com, embedding business and technology together and created a strong culture of Innovation.


JacTravel’s CEO, Terry Williamson said: “Technology is a critical enabler to the delivery of our future success, and we felt it was time to have a dedicated leader within the Board to help deliver our next generation platform and implement the strategy needed to create market leading technology environments in our fast changing sector. As we expand globally it is important we become flexible and adaptable in our approach, and bring to market enhanced capabilities tailored to individual partner requirements.”

Francesco said: “I am really pleased to be returning to JacTravel in this exciting new role.  I have known Terry and the senior team here for many years. Terry Williamson concluded: “Stuart Nassos who has been heading the IT function together with his Customer operations, Content management and HR responsibilities will now focus in these areas, to accelerate the many plans we have to improve and enhance the support we offer to our partners. I’d like to thank Stuart for his leadership of IT to date.”
