Frankfurt Airport listed for the first time in Top 10 of 2017 Skytrax World Airport Awards

Fraport, which operates Frankfurt Airport, works constantly to upgrade and extend its services for an even better passenger experience.

The offerings include diverse opportunities for them to relax (under the heading of Relaxation World), work (Business World) and enjoy themselves (Entertainment World and Family World). And these efforts are greatly appreciated by air travelers, whose online votes have therefore put Frankfurt Airport among the world’s top ten in the 2017 Skytrax Awards for the first time.

Fraport’s own passenger surveys, which are conducted by the market research firm of GfK Media and Communication Research GmbH & Co. KG and include around 30,000 travelers a year, also reflect the progress that has been made: in 2016 overall passenger satisfaction climbed to well over 80% for the first time.

Moreover, Frankfurt Airport was honored once again as “Best Airport in Europe” by Business Traveller Poland Magazine. The award recognizes and values Frankfurt Airport´s unique service qualities.

“This positive trend is encouraging us to continue improving our service offering and the feel-good factor at Frankfurt Airport,” stresses Thomas Kirner, who heads the Service Quality department at Fraport AG. An eight-digit euro sum is currently being invested to make the terminals more attractive and respond to passengers’ increasing needs and expectations. “Our passengers naturally expect the entire travel process to go as smoothly as possible from arrival at the airport to takeoff, but that isn’t all; they also want to feel good, be entertained, and enjoy a wide variety of services,” adds Mr. Kirner.

In 2017 Fraport is working to expand particularly the range of services provided for relaxation and entertainment while improving the overall ambiance and experience. The aim is to enhance the unique travel experience at Frankfurt Airport.

Fraport’s motto, “Gute Reise! We make it happen,” expresses its strong commitment to serving passengers and meeting their individual wishes and needs. The airport operator therefore regularly adds new services and facilities while improving existing ones to enhance the customer experience at Germany’s largest aviation hub.
