Hajj Travel 2018 safety: Airbus and STC telecom show concern

Together with the telecom companies STC Specialized and House of Invention International (HOI) in Saudi Arabia, Airbus has supplied secure communication infrastructure to the security staff protecting this year’s Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

“Our reliable critical communication infrastructure plays a vital role in making sure that the government’s security personnel could fully perform their security tasks. The Hajj, the Muslim pilgrimage to Makkah, is one of the largest gatherings in the world. This year, the event has begun on the evening of August 19th and concluded on the evening of August 24. Organising the Hajj entails growing logistical challenges as the number of pilgrims continues to increase yearly. More than two million Muslims have come to Makkah, prompting the Saudi Government to further strengthen security measures to ensure the pilgrims´ well-being.
