The Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for each of its 4 main markets on June 17. These markets are China, Korea, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan.

HTA announced today it has awarded 4 contracts for inbound destination marketing management services for the state’s major market areas.

“We are pleased to be partnering with these specialists who will implement comprehensive plans to attract high-spending travelers from their respective markets,” said Chris Tatum, HTA President and CEO. “We also want to extend a sincere mahalo to BrandStory and JWI Marketing for promoting Hawaii as a premier destination in China and Taiwan over the past years.”

The winning contractors are as follows:

  • 20-04 RFP: China: ITRAVLOCAL LIMITED
  • 20-05 RFP: Korea: AVIAREPS Korea
  • 20-06 RFP: Southeast Asia: AVIAREPS Malaysia
  • 20-07 RFP: Taiwan: BrandStory Asia

All 4 companies will receive a 3-year contract commencing January 1, 2020. HTA has the option to extend the agreement for up to 2 additional years.
