Jamaica Minister hails tourism stalwarts on receiving national awards

The occasion was a post-awards luncheon at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. During the event, the Minister commended the recipients for the role they have played in the growth of the tourism industry.

The recipients were US Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, who received an Order of Distinction (OD) for distinguished contribution in safeguarding the interests of Jamaican nationals in the USA Diaspora on immigration matters; Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Jennifer Griffith, who received an OD for Outstanding Public Service; Hon. Grace Jones, who received the Order of Jamaica (OJ) for contribution in the field of entertainment internationally; and Chairman of the Tourism Enhancement Fund, Hon. Godfrey Dyer, who also received an OJ, for exceptional contribution in the field of tourism.

The occasion was a post-awards luncheon at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, where Minister Bartlett lauded the recipients for their contribution to nation building and for helping the industry to experience record growth in 2017 and 2018.
