Residence Inn by Marriott Stamford Downtown appoints new executive team

Preparing for a grand opening in late fall 2018, Residence Inn by Marriott Stamford Downtown has chosen three top executives to lead the city’s first extended stay hotel. The team includes Area General Manager Todd Lindvall, Director of Sales and Marketing Tina Mazzullo, and Assistant General Manager Jason Coppola.

Todd Lindvall, Area General Manager

Todd Lindvall’s leadership at Residence Inn Stamford Downtown is backed by 30 years of experience. Lindvall has worked for Marriott for most of his career in hospitality, with 18 years spent in the Stamford area. He has been integral in coordinating hotel development plans with ownership, UC Funds, and management, Urgo Hotels & Resorts, to prepare Residence Inn by Marriott Stamford Downtown for debut. In addition to his stewardship over the hotel, Lindvall oversees the neighboring Courtyard by Marriott Stamford Downtown, a role he’s held since 2001. Under his watch, the sister hotel has garnered both diamond and platinum recognition for outstanding guest service by Marriott. Dedicated to the greater Stamford community, Lindvall is on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Stamford Chamber of Commerce and The Downtown Stamford Services.

Tina Mazzullo, Director of Sales and Marketing

Tina Mazzullo brings almost a decade of hospitality experience to her new post with Residence Inn Stamford Downtown. She began her career as a guest service agent in hotel industry and quickly grew into Operations and Sales management role. Most recently, Mazzullo served as a general manager with Dream Hotel Group. While there, she elevated the customer service and operations programs, maximizing profit for the brand’s newest property. Prior, Tina served as director of sales with Island Hospitality in the Raleigh – Durham Market in North Carolina, where she helped drive revenue across various brands including Hilton, Starwood and Marriott.

Jason Coppola, Assistant General Manager

Jason Coppola has served as front office manager at the sister property Courtyard Stamford Downtown since 2016, working alongside Area General Manager Todd Lindvall. Prior to Jason’s Role as the assistant general manager at Residence Inn Stamford Downtown, Coppola’s career in hospitality began in Stamford with the Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa and took him to nearby cities including White Plains and Rye, New York, working for a range of Marriott-branded hotels. He brings to the job a strong passion for providing memorable service to guests, while also supporting and developing associates.
