Commencing on December 21, 2016, Chinese carrier Tianjin Airlines will operate non-stop Chongqing-Auckland service three times a week using Airbus 260-seat A330 aircraft.
The outbound flight is scheduled to depart from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 00:30, arriving at Auckland at 18:00 (13.5 hour flight time) and the return flight departs from Auckland at 21:00, arriving at Chongqing at 05:30 the following morning (12.5 hours).
Chongqing-Auckland is the first New Zealand route from Chongqing. It is also the first time that Tianjin Airlines has set foot in the Oceania region.
