United Airlines Emergency at San Antonio International Airport

United Airlines Flight 5588, a member of Star Alliance made an emergency landing today in San Antonio, International Airport Sunday afternoon in Texas.

The incident happened before 15h local time. The aircraft was operated by Skywest.


The captain reported a landing gear issues and made an emergency landing. All passengers were able to evacuate the plane safely. Some passengers complaint about minor injuries.

The flight was attempting to land on runway 4 when the landing gear collapsed.

The plane carried 55 passengers.. The airport’s runways were closed shortly after the incident, but all but the affected runway have since been reopened.
