The US Virgin Islands and its two ICTP members

“Our mission is to transform the US Virgin Islands (USVI) into the greenest, most sustainable, and resilient islands in the world, engaging both residents and tourists.”

This is the mission statement of the Island Green Living Association of St. John in the US Virgin Islands.

Island Green Living is one of two members of the international Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) on the US Caribbean Island of St. John. The other member is the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), is the region’s tourism development agency, with 28 Dutch, English, French, and Spanish country members, and a myriad of private-sector allied members. The CTO’s vision is to position the Caribbean as the most desirable, year-round, warm-weather destination. Its purpose is “Leading Sustainable Tourism – One Sea, One Voice, One Caribbean.”

ICTP stands for GREEN GROWTH + QUALITY = BUSINESS, an ideal combination and so true particularly for islands.

The International Coalition of Tourism Partners is a coalition of tourism destinations and their stakeholders in 135 countries with headquarters in Hawaii, Brussels, Seychelles, and Bali.
