Vietjet commences Hai Phong – Seoul flight

Vietjet recently welcomed passengers on board its debut flight from Hai Phong – Seoul (South Korea). The ceremony was witnessed by local leaders. All passengers on board were presented with exclusive gifts at the Cat Bi International Airport. The route is expected to meet the increasing travel demand of individuals and tourists as well as boost regional trade and integration.


The Hai Phong – Seoul route is operated every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday with a flying time of around five hours per leg. The route’s flight frequency will be increased to daily operations from 19 January 2017 to 13 February 2017. Flights depart from Hai Phong City at 23:45 and arrive in Seoul at 06:00 (local time). The return flight departs from Seoul at 07:15 (local time) and lands in Hai Phong City at 10:40.

As the center for economic and social growth in the northeast Vietnam, Hai Phong has great potential for tourism development with a host of local specialties and services for international tourists. Up to date, Vietjet has operated 10,000 flights, carrying nearly 2 million passengers on its nine routes to and from Hai Phong.

Concurrently, Vietjet has also officially launched another international route from Ho Chi Minh City to Kaohsiung. The HCMC-Kaohsiung route is operated with 5 return flights a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. The flight, which lasts 3 hours 30 minutes per leg, departs from HCMC at 02:10 and lands in Kaohsiung at 06:30 (local time). The return flight takes off at 08:15 (local time) and lands in HCMC at 10:45.
