WestJet sets new single-day record for guests flown

For the second time in 2016, WestJet has set a new record for guests flown in a single day. The airline will fly an estimated 74,600 guests across its network today, surpassing the previous record of 74,247 set on January 3, 2016.


“We are proud to be the airline of choice for so many guests at this important time of the year,” said Bob Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Commercial. “On behalf of more than 12,000 WestJetters, we would like to thank our guests for choosing to fly with us throughout the year, and we extend our best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season.”
