India appeals to agents to promote Abu Dhabi travel

Sunil Kumar, President of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) and the United Federation of Travel Agents’ Associations (UFTAA), has appealed to the travel agents in India to promote travel from India to Abu Dhabi, where the TAAI had held its 63rd convention in the fall of 2016.

Kumar said that the Emirate in UAE has excellent facilities and attractions, which were witnessed by the 700 delegates of the TAAI convention.

The Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, and other bodies and properties, had gone all-out to see that the convention went off very well. Kumar said at a thank-you reception in Delhi on January 10 organized by TAAI and the Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA) Abu Dhabi that it now was the responsibility of the agents to work so that more Indian tourists go to Abu Dhabi to see the many attractions.

Bejan Dinshaw, Country Manager – India, Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, who worked hard to make the convention a grand success, said that they were confident that the already large number of Indian visitors would go up further.

An interesting video taken during the event in Abu Dhabi was shown at the function, where the leaders from India and hosts from Abu Dhabi and other sponsors spoke in glowing terms of the 63rd convention, which also reflected the importance the emirate gives to tourism from India.
